The Wellmet Assembly Required Lampshade is designed for table lamps, bedside lamps, and floor lamps with a classic modern style and a spider fitter. This lampshade requires assembly and can be put together in just 10 minutes. The top and bottom rings are made of plastic but are sturdy enough to support the fabric. Please note that this lampshade can only be used on table lamps or bedside lamps; floor lamps with a spider fitter require a metal harp (not included in the package). We recommend measuring your existing lampshade to ensure a proper fit and considering a replacement harp if needed when adjusting the height of the shade.

Wellmet Assembly Required Drum Lampshades Installation Guide

Start by tightening the screws of the metal support with a screwdriver. Next, assemble the top and bottom rings, each of which consists of three parts. Attach the rings to the fabric using zip lock strips of plastic, making sure the front side of the top ring is facing upward. Press the fabric firmly onto the rings and remove the double-sided tape on one end of the shade to secure the fabric in place. Finally, place the lampshade on your lamp, as it comes in five colors and sizes to match most lamps.

Reminder:

• Ensure the side of the top ring with visible metal screws faces forward.
• To prevent creasing, place a book at the end of the fabric when installing.
• A standard top ring with a spider fitter requires a harp (not included).

Measuring Lampshades for Table Lamps

Most table lamps fit shades with a bottom diameter of 16" or less, unless the lamp is tall or considered "mini." Match the height of the lamp to the bottom width of the shade for a proper fit, aiming for a shade approximately 3/4 the width of the lamp. The shade should cover the top of the lamp fitter and hide any hardware from view.

Measuring Lampshades for Floor Lamps

Floor lamps generally require larger shades with bottom diameters of 13", 14", 16", or 18" and above. Choose a shade that conceals the hardware and complements the lamp's height and shape, such as a drum or floor-style shade. Avoid showing the lamp socket or fitter from the side view for a seamless look.

The stainless steel ring supports the shade, while cotton fabric softens and disperses light effectively. This lampshade is easy to assemble, with a recommended size of 14 inches in diameter and 17 inches tall.
